imagination runs wild!!
Finally, in the sixth book, harry has become mature signifying the end of innocence and miserable days with the dursleys. He doesn’t need to tolerate bull shit from anyone anymore-be it the new minister of magic, malfoy or even kreacher.
Rowlings imagination has yet again conjured an engrossing story of voldemort’s childhood, snape’s “deceit”, or the horcruxes. The horcruxes finally explain the reason behing volemort’s “immortality”.
The snogging parts are interesting and so are dumbeldore’s memories of voldemort in his penseive.voldemort and harry, though both being half-blood orphans, have very different attitudes towards themselves as well as others.harry believes in love, trust and friendship. Tom riddle on the other hand, fears death more than anything else and has no friends.a striking contrast between two people so intricately linked by an age-old prophecy.
Though the half-blood prince has been well-plotted, I think the story has some loop holes too.if you all remember, its mentioned in one of the chapters that the half blood prince’ potions book was about 50 years old and thus it was clearly concluded that the book could not have belonged to harry’s father or any of his batchmates. So how could it belong to snape, who obviously was in the same batch as james potter?!!?
Anyone who would have read the half-blood prince with some logical interpretation will surely agree with me that a wise guy like dumbledore, the man who voldemort feared the most would never plead for his life to a “deceiver” snape. People like dumbledore don’t fear death..infact that was the main difference between voldemort and dumbledore as rowling has been telling us in the last 5 books. Also, dumbledore being such an intelligent and been there-done that kind of guy who has been offered the post of minister of magic so many times, would surely be having a solid reason for trusting snape..even if the entire hogwarts’s staff didn’t trust him, even if he had been a death eater, even if he had had a hand in harry’s parents killing, and even if harry had never trusted him-dumbledore’s favourite student?? An old man’s mistake? I don’t think so!!
I somehow feel that dumbledore asked snape to kill him to maintain snape’s trust in front of the other death eaters including malfoy. Why? Maybe coz then snape could somehow find out the location of the remaining horcruxes and destroy them. Does anyone buy this?
To know all these answers, we would have to have another long 2 year break for the final book of the harry potter series.
Personally, on a ten point scale I would rate the half-blood price a 7/10.
But hey, does anyone have any idea what R.A.B stands for??

nice point, but keep in mind that the so called clear conclusion was made by Harry, who is prone to jumping to conclusions a bit too early (and most of the times, wrong ones, If I might add).
Note that other students had the very same book (without the scribblings though), So If harry can get an old book which works fine, Why can't dear snivelly? Methinks the book might well belong to Tom Riddle and later handed to snivelly much in the same way harry got it.
Oh, And its pucca, RAB is Regulus A Black.
oh well i put down this point on snape on karan's blog and of-course got rebuked. perhaps we both forgot ...it was not Snape's book bbut his mother's book which was handed down to him. perhaps he might have later added those curses and tips in the book.
Oh nice, so that makes snape's mother and Tom Riddle Schoolmates! (Hint, Hint)
could that be a point? ;-)
mridu, i don't think the book was snape's mum's.
her mother was a pure blood and her sir name was "prince"..jis dad was a muggle..
and if u do , by chance remember, in the 5th book when harry accidentally saw a memory of snape's childhood..one of them was abt snape sitting in the corner of the room and crying his eyes out coz his father was yelling like mad at his wife i.e snapes mom. plus he was a muggle .so its possible snape used to loathe his dad nd dats why he fancied calling himself half blood "prince"!!
and akhil..who is regulus A black?? some 1 related to sirius black?
and sneha:i meant "but u must read it wenever u get time" not "nut..."
a typing error!!
ughgh ....couldnt snapes mother just pass on her book to her som?? Ohk that sounds far-fetched ...but its possible.
when r u planning to update,akshay????????
